Research

Invicta Advocacy Network undertakes user centred research from time to time when the need becomes apparent from discussions with service users. This is apart from its ongoing Patients Council project.

Research has been undertaken on whether or not local services are meeting the needs of women with mental health problems, the needs of Black and Ethnic Minorities Community with mental health problems, medication, alternatives to hospital and a document was written by Heart of the Matter forum members on stigma.

Research was also carried out in 2009 on looking into whether there is discrimination of mental health service users by families particularly within the Asian communities locally. This research was done with the support of the Temples and Mosque.
