Older People
Following extensive monitoring, the Network became aware that there needed to be more advocacy for older people with mental health problems because older people do not always know how to access services, and there could well be other problems linked with the mental health issues.
The Network was successful in a bid and received 3 years funding from Comic Relief to expand its advocacy service for older people with mental health problems, particularly in the community and including those from the BME communities. This work commenced on lst April 2006. It ended in March 2009 and the work is now continued by the network, within it's core funding.
